Performance Programs

Challenge

Our client is a retail organisation that has grown from one store fifteen years ago to multiple stores across the nation today.  It was time to formalise a structure and approach to motivating best performance.

Performance Intervention

We took research and practical applications from Positive Psychology, Attachment Theory and Self Determination Theory to enhance relationships between leaders and teams, improve self-efficacy of leaders and team members, clarify expectations through reworking the company vision and values and linking these to store and individual goals, and found ways to enhance the autonomy of store managers and their teams, so they felt empowered to take innovative initiatives.

Outcome

The impact of this intervention is still evident a couple of years later. Leaders felt confident to apply their new skills to create empowered and motivated teams.  The organisation’s sales and profits increased as a result of the positive company culture and performance interventions.  During this period they have also won industry awards for customer service and innovation.
